HFTP puts on an amazing show, and there is so much to see and do while you are attending! Navigating the lectures, events, show floor, and of course nighttime festivites can be a bit daunting even for the most seasoned HITEC attendees.
Only have a few minutes?
Here are 5 things we at Newmarket definitely think you shouldn't miss while at HITEC 2015.
Find your traveler tribe
Do you look for peace and quiet over chills and thrills? Or do you prefer a hassle-free and pre-packaged vacation? And, looking beyond the style of vacation that you prefer, what is it that inspires you to buy? Do you like to plan in advance, or do you want to be offered something once you've arrived at your destination?
Interactive, drag and drop room diagramming and collaboration
Your website is your front door to Meeting Planners around the world evaluating your space for their event. By making it easy for them to visualize space, as well as build interactive room diagrams in an online environment, they become attached to your property before they have even considered somewhere else!
Meeting Planners can search for matching space, pick from pre-determined room layouts, and customize them for their own needs while being able to share the layout, and collaborate on it with members at the property.
Gamification of Service Optimization
Housekeeping and Engineering professionals around the world already know the value of having a well running Service Optimization system keeping their property looking its best.
The HotSOS Mobile Room Attendant Module (currently in beta) is being previewed on the show floor, showing new gamification features to increase staff adoption, as well as generate some healthy competition too between team members!
Room Attendants earn points towards badges for performing well in key areas such as preventing guest incidents, high productivity, reporting service orders, and consistent quality inspection scores. Badges earned display on the Room Attendant welcome screen on HotSOS Mobile to show where they are in the game as of yesterday. Badges may be used as a virtual currency that staff can potentially use for perks such as gift cards or preferential work schedules. Future game elements will be added throughout the HotSOS Mobile suite of products based on customer feedback.
PowerSearch with STR Data for Deep Meeting Intelligence Reporting and Prospecting
Do you know who is meeting at the property down the street? We do!
Meeting Intelligence tools including PowerSearch within PremiumView now allow for additional data filtering with Smith-Travel Research (STR) data. This allows properties and venues to build an even more targeted list when prospecting for new business.
HITEC After Party, Presented by Newmarket
Newmarket is keeping the party going! Stop by the booth to learn about the party location, and while you are there learn about your traveler tribe. Doors open Wednesday night at 9:00pm but remember to bring your HITEC badge, it is required for entry!
